A prayer does not need to be long ,
God hears even the smallest shortest prayer.

O Lord, in a world where many are lonely, we thank you for our friendships.
In a world where many are captive, we thank you for our freedom.
O Lord, in a world where many are hungry, we thank you for your provision.
Amen

Father, forgive me, because I know that I am often selfish and
seldom think through the implications of my decisions based on the
needs of others.
I want to have the mind of Christ and be more
selfless and sacrificial with everyone who needs your grace and the
tenderness that you have placed within me to share with them.
Please bless me as I seek to be like your Son in this area of my
life.
In Jesus' name. Amen.

O precious and righteous Father, I need your help to learn to
slow down and tend to my own responsibilities instead of running
around out of control and without purpose.
Please grant me not only
the wisdom that I have been praying for, but also the patience and
quietude that I need for that wisdom to change my heart and mind.
In Jesus' name I ask it. Amen.

Lord, teach me to walk continually in Your presence and to develop a prayer life that is effective and powerful.
Draw me to my knees, not just to pray for my own needs, but to intercede for and lift up those around me
May the Holy Spirit focus my praying on the specific needs and hurts of others. And show me those areas of my life that are most vulnerable to attack that I might reinforce them with more truth from God's holy Word. Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, let Your salvation cover me and protect my thoughts from the enemy.
Wash me with Your Word.
Renew my life through the transforming power of Your redemption and holiness.
Teach me how to use Your Word wisely and effectively in all areas of my life. Amen

Thank you Lord for this brand new day.
Give me the wisdom to see its possibilities,
the strength to face its challenges, and the grace to be open to its promise.
Give me your heart of love to do a favour, speak a kindness,
offer a hand, soothe a hurt, celebrate a joy, share a sorrow, or in some small way give myself in love to another in your name

Lord God

Too many times we turn inwards when things get on top of us, instead of turning to you.

Things start to pile up and each day seems like a battle rather than a joy.

Instead let us come to you each and every day including you in everything we do rather than pushing you to the sidelines.

You are holy and worthy of praise, amazing God!

We lift before you those who feel they are drowning in work, worry or stress, that they will trust in you and depend on you for everything.

That they may feel refreshed and at peace through your love and grace that you so willingly pour out on us all.

We ask this is your name

Lord, what does peace really mean?

Is your peace simply an absence of war or any conflict?

Do I seek for a peace that is to my own liking, or do I seek for your peace?

Lord, we seek peace between peoples of different cultures and beliefs.

You have made each person in your image, may we never devalue your image in others.

We pray for nations who are in conflict with neighbours,

We pray for countries that suffer from terrorist activity.

We pray for the peace negotiators in their task of reconciliation.

We pray that people will learn to, 'beat their swords into plough shears, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more' (Micah 4:3).

Lord in your mercy,

Hear our prayer.

Almighty God, we pray for all those who know no peace,
whether politically by living in a place of unrest and violence,
emotionally by being torn by the stresses and turmoil of life's uncertainties,
or spiritually by choosing an inner life that lacks faith and purpose.
Amen

Dear Father, I pray that you will send a spiritual revival
to all the corners of the earth,
Enter the hearts and minds of those who do not yet know you as I do,
Send the spirit of truth and love and help us to defeat the evil that
exists in Your world today.
In Jesus' name... Amen

Holy and awesome God, I know a huge gulf stands between your
perfection and my limitations.
Yet, dear Father, I believe you have
spanned that gulf with your grace.
While I wait for that perfection to dawn in all its fullness,
please empower me for my battles with
the Evil One and deliver me from all spiritual harm and attack.
Until the day I see you face to face, please accept my
all-too-limited and human praise for all you have done to save me.

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve;
I was given health, that I might learn to obey.
I asked for riches, that I might be happy;
I was given poverty, that I might be wise.
I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life;
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.
I received nothing that I had asked for -
Everything I had hoped for.
