Had this chat with Birmingham fans on it like a flash they are all rosie now after spending 20 million on a striker and perhaps enjoying winning most games they play at league 1 level but enough of that for the moment and thats not a dig just the reality.
Has for Rooney we have to give him time yes outside sources do have some points that is pretty obvious considering he managed at other clubs so others on the outside know alittle about him and the style.
But the pros and cons have to be weighed up but does that warrent a lets sack him approach i dont think so.
No matter who we got in we would always have moments of stuggle under the current situration budget etc,
We are punching above our weight and the expectations of some fans are too high.
I get it fans spend the money but we have to stick with what we have and have a realism that we where always going to be in a relegation battle but we also had some damn good moments this season more so at home and im sure more will come.
People jump on the hype train when things are going well and it rasies expectations and the foolish side of thinking favorable fixtures which is an awful term at this level is a recipe for disaster!
Parden the rant but who do we think we are this is only our 2nd season at this level we are in fact a samll fish in a big money pond and the 2nd season is by some accounts always the toughest.
No such thing as an easy ride in this very hard league that is built like a tin of sardines which to be honest due to our home form we are doing quite well!.
Lets not jump on the bandwagon realise the fact it wouldnt much change even under the best manager in the world and all will be well.
Call to sack Rooney is silly because there are no easy fixes unless we have a top half budget hopefully more investment will come.
Sorry for the spelling mistakes ect.

I genuinely think the international break didn't help us. With several players away it broke our flow and we come back into two away games
Absolutely zero point in changing the coaching set-up at this stage. Even less guarantee that it would benefit us
And yet we came back stronger after the international break before…
Personally I think that it is the two away games in a row that has caused the angst, if the pattern of win at home one match lose away next match had simply continued without two away in a row there would not be the panic

We need more of the dark arts Demport too. Too naive
I agree, that's what I was alluding to when I said we need to sharpen up but I didn't want to sound too cynical.
However, you usually have to be leading - or at least drawing - to effectively employ the dark arts, or game management as it is more euphemistically called. But as we never take the lead in Away games, it's irrelevant.

Weird how a club that for years has hardly won away is now expected to win all of their away games.
I wish people were more honest and just admitted they don't like Wayne Rooney or, at least, the 'banter' that follows the circus attached to him.
If he set us up to play away games like Millwall last night (let's not forget they were the Home side - must be great for their supporters), we'd be getting posts on how boring and anti football it all was.
It was only a few short weeks ago that supporters of clubs expected to go up, were lauding us as the best side they'd played all season.

Good point and following the next international break we have a home game followed by two away games and then to balance it out we have two successive home games in early December plus they are against two teams we should be beating at home.

Hard to know what to do with a poster who only seeks to undermine. A short suspension seems the right initial response and one I support. Doubt the guy will get the message though!

Just to add i also think the problem with Rooney is he looks at management or coaching from his playing days which maybe the reason why players really like him has a coach.
The management at Argyle already went with the Foster style and that clearly upset many!
The thing with Rooney ive notice is he knows how to set teams up against the best in the league but when it comes down to the not so flamboyant sides he tends to fail in the approach.
Alot like his playing career when Man utd would always seem to drop points when they play the not so flamboyant sides.
Yes away from home we still lost but only by the odd goal.
Rooney will come good!

Serious questions will have to be asked if he sets up the same way at Leeds! I dread to think what will happen to us.
Rooney has to learn from these terrible away performances. Morgan Whittaker is hopelessly out of form and I'm actually starting to feel sorry for him. With Cissoko out for another 2 games, and to avoid his defensive brainfarts, Mumba has to play further forward on Saturday. With the exception of Whittaker he is the one player that can create something out of nothing.
I would play Sorinola at LB, and play 4-2-3-1:Grimshaw
Edwards
Suchs
Gibson
SorinolaRandell
GyabiWhittaker
Al Hajj
MumbaObafemi
So basically, go to Leeds with the same players who started the Cardiff debacle with the exception of bringing in our 3rd choice RB to play at LB, having barely kicked a ball all season. I'm sure Gnonto will be licking his lips at the thought of that.
We would need Leeds to produce their worst performance of the season, a bit like Middlesborough last season.
Whilst there is some merit in pushing the defensive liability that is Mumba up the line, don't you think we need to stiffen the midfield so that a much stronger Leeds team doesn't have all the time and space we gave to Cardiff?
Of the 5 players you select in midfield, Randell is about the only one who can tackle and there would be a real danger of the others being mostly spectators.

Yep, how many times did they foul us last night, when we were about to win the ball and get away. I'd say 90% of the time. Not nice to watch admittedly but it obvious keeps that odious club in the Championship year after year after year.
I'm sure there's a middle ground somewhere.

Yellow card count. 5.1 to them. We are too soft.

Remarkably after 11 Championship games Schuey's record was W3 D2 L6 F18 A19 with 11 points and we were in 18th place. Schuey achieved 2 points on the road. A year later Wayne's record is W3 D2 L6 F10 A19 with 11 points in 20th place. Wayne's achieved 1 point on the road. I don't recall anyone saying that Schuey's tenure was a failed 'gamble' and that was after two successive insipid home defeats in five days.
The 'social media' noise will inevitably grow if results and particularly way performances do not improve. This will be amplified if the rumours are true about Coleen being on 'I'm a Celebrity ..'. I must admit to being most anxious about this as inevitably Wayne will become the focus and scrutiny of wider media interest both on and off the pitch. I strongly feel it is time to 'circle the wagons' and ensure we do not slip inexorably into an anti-Foster type sentiment expressed on line and so vociferously at Home Park. We have witnessed some exhilarating performanaces at Home Park this season. We need to rethink our away set up that's all. Time to do all we can to get behind the team and get those three points that will move us up a very compressed table.
Should Coleen be in the jungle for 3/4 weeks then presumanly Wayne will need to spend more time at home helping look after their 4 sons so that could be a challenging time for everyone at HP

Surely not .
They will presumably have a family member / nanny there to look after the kids.
If Rooney's got to pop back to Cheshire every other day whilst she's in the jungle it definitely won't work.

It won't be an issue. I imagine they can afford a nanny.

Nobody has done anything on this thread to warrant a suspension, there was no personal attack on Rooney, surely the guy is entitled to express his opinion on Rooney's record and management even if it is not to the liking of the majority?
